Mama Monster Manicure

I am gaga for Lady Gaga, so Mama Monster inspired nails were sure to come :D.
I've actually been trying to figure out a way to incorporate Lady Gaga into nail art and today after the trick or treaters left- I came up with this mani.
Each nail is inspired by an outfit that Lady Gaga has worn :X. Very strange, yes?

The Thumb: Micky Mouse jumpsuit from the Paparazzi video.
I used Sinful Colors Let's Meet for the background and Wet N Wild Shine Black Creme for the Mickys.

The Index finger: The bleeding outfit from the 2009 VMA's.
I used Sinful Colors Snow Me White for the back ground, some nail art rhinestones from ebay, and Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Cardinal for the dripping blood.

The Middle Finger: This leather and rhinestone outfit from the Poker Face video. (when shes getting out of the pool haha)
I used China Glaze Liquid Leather and rhinestones and metal balls from ebay.

The Ring Finger: The caution tape outfit from the Telephone video
I used Sinful Colors Snow Me White and Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Lightening and So easy Stripe Rite striper.

The Pinky: Meat dress from the 2010 VMAs.
I used one coat of Sinful Colors Snow Me White before Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Cardinal and white and red craft paint mixed together for the bone and fat.

And my right buddy:

The Pinky: Same as left pinky

The Ring Finger: Bubble dress.
I used Sally Hansen No Chip 10 Day Nail Color Surely Ivory and OPI Bubble Bath for the bubbles and then white craft paint for the accents.

The Middle Finger: The Bathing suit/Onsie from the Poker Face music video.
I used Sally Hansen No Chip 10 day Nail Color Surely Ivory for the background and Essie Mesmerize and Piggy Polish Summer SOLE-stice for the onsie.

The Index Finger: When Lady Gaga had Pearls stuck to her face haha.
I used Sinful Colors Snow Me White and some pearls from ebay.

The Thumb: Same as left hand.

These Nails are definitely fun for some post Halloween celebration but I don't know if I'd wear them normally.
My boyfriend compared them to "clown nails" ;p.

I still think they're pretty awesome!

BILLY MAYS HERE....

Little fact about me:
I loved Billy Mays commercials. So when a ten year old Rachel saw a commercial for oxiclean, you better believe I was begging my mom for that stuff! (We now constantly have a gallon on hand.) :D
So, this halloween I thought I would be Billy Mays. But as luck turned out, I completely forgot to get pants for it :X. So, instead I'm going wear an old witch costume I sewed when I was in high school and never wore.
That didn't stop me from making oxiclean nails!
Haha :) Aren't they oddly cute? Haha and yes I put a Y instead of an I :X
I used a darker blue to match the shirt I was planning on wearing.

What I used:
Ulta Silk Wrap Base Coat, Essie Mesmerize, Sally Hansen Instra-Dri Lightening, Poshe Topcoat.
Also, I used Piggy Polish Summer SOLE-stice for the light blue bubbles and white craft paint for the accents in the bubbles and letters.

Here's my right hand. Not as cute :(

I also stopped by the LUSH stand in Macy's and picked up these. Sweet Lips Lip Scrub is so sweet!
And I also wanted to try Lemon Flutter before I commit to buying it haha. :)
I picked up these colors from Walgreens on the way home.
Sinful Colors Let's Meet and Snow Me White.

I've been buying a lot of white polishes because...
I'm on the hunt for the PERFECT WHITE POLISH!
China Glaze White On White, Sally Hansen Hard As Nails White, Sinful Colors Snow Me White, Ulta Snow White, and Essence White Secret.

So HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!

And a special thanks to Katrina for shouting me on her blog!
:D Thank you!!

Awaken To The SWATCHES!

Such a lame title :X.
In my last big haul I bought the China Glaze Awakenings Halloween set.
Here are the swatches:

This is Mummy May I. It's a pretty purple glitter.
I think this looks really nice against my skin tone :). This is two coats.
Next I tried Zombie Zest.

This is a Olive Glitter.

This one stole my heart. :) It's so ZESTY! I think I like it so much because it's one of those wonderful ugly colors. :)
I think this is 3 coats.
Last but not least:
Ick-A-Bod-Y. (No idea why it's spelled like that!)
This one is definitely best in bottle color. It is an orange glitter in a greyish green base.
It reminds me of pumpkin pie here -_- I don't know why! This is 4 coats. Four very longgggg to dry coats.
The money shot ;).

I'm working on the nails I am actually going to wear for Halloween right now. :) I'll post them as soon as I get a chance.
<3

Devil's Delite ;)

In my last post I showed my white and red nails before any nail art-
Here's what I decided to do.
I did dripping nails and little crosses in China Glaze Rebotika and Bundle Monster plate BM13.
I actually didn't like the way they turned out so I tried this:
I used NOX Twilight Poseidon and Essence White Secret. I used some nail guides for the tips- but I think it came out TOO straight looking. So I added some nail decals I got from eBay and Claires.
I got these nail decals on eBay for a couple bucks. So cute, right?

Halloween isn't a big holiday for me, is that odd? I think that's why my Halloween nails are so minimalistic haha.
This is what I did before going out to babysit. This is Savvy Chocolate and Savvy Orange Overload. I think you can only purchase them at Sallys! I then used a little skull nail decal I got from walmart a few years back. I'm pretty sure they still have them.
I wasn't impressed with Chocolate on the first coat. It was very thin and watery. But on the second coat, the color built up and it was so vampy! Orange Overload was a secret Neon and dried semi matte.
I drove to a bunch of stores looking for spider rings :P. I enjoy those!

I also mentioned in my last post that I picked up OPI's Avoplex Cuticle Oil To Go.
Here's something I wasn't expecting!
It's a JELLY!
(You can also see my left hand in the lace mani I didn't show. :P I didn't like the way the lace turned out.)
Application is very easy and i like how convenient it is considering I LOVE the  Avoplex cuticle oil and I couldn't take the bottle in my purse with me. :)

Quick Pics of My Haul!

Today I had to ship some items I sold on eBay, so of course I couldn't resist stopping at the store because it's right by the Post office! So I figured I'd just stop at Ulta and Joanns anyway haha. :)
What I got:
China Glaze Awakenings (it was on sale for $4.87!), HandsDown Lint Free! Nail wipes, Sally Hansen Ultra Smoothing Foot Scrub (which I've fallen in love with), two craft paints for nail art, Sally Hansen Hard As Nails White polish, OPI DS Opulence and DS Extravagance, Essence White Secret, Ulta Snow White and Moody Blues, brushes for nail art, and OPI Avoplex Cuticle Oil To Go.

WHEW.

I think I should do some Halloween nails with this :D.

And on the way home from lunch, my dad bought me this:
Cabaret Black Light Magic from RiteAid. It was in the Halloween section for 50% off with a wellness card. I'm not sure what it does (maybe glows under black light) But I'm interested.
Those are my current nails. I used China Glaze White On White and Riveter Rouge. I just can't decide what I want to put on them yet!

Finally :D I'm a PRO!

So, I mentioned in my last post that I had an important test to take, which was my Esthetic's theory portion. I passed! So now, I'm a licensed Skin Therapist! :D Also in the BIG news category, I'll be leaving for Vegas next Thursday! :) I'm going to be taking waxing classes and visiting my boy. I'll try and keep posting while I'm there though!
Anyway, on to nail polish! Heres a few things I picked up at the store on Tuesday.
Zoya LOLA, Zoya EDYTA, Essie Mesmerize, China Glaze Dorthy Who?, OPI DS Reserve.
These colors are all so pretty! :D I'm happy with my selection!
When I first saw the OPI DS collection at CosmoProf I wasn't very impressed. All the colors seemed to be similar and not really my style. But as soon as I put it on I saw what all the fuss was about!
This color is so pretty! On another blog someone called it a "Barbie Pink" and i definitely see that! It's almost too pretty :). It goes really well with my skin tone too. I think it's a little brighter in person as well.
I just can't get enough of it :) This is 2 coats.
Next I tried China Glaze Dorthy Who?.
I found this buried in with a bunch of random polishes. :) So pretty!
It's very pretty but too much VNL for me. This is 3 coats.

Then, Essie Mesmerize.

This color blue is so unique I think! It reminds me of mom jeans haha :).
This is ONE coat! I think I'm in love.
My hand looks so strange here!
Finally, To my new Zoyas! I actually only had one Zoya before this (MIA). So I was pretty anxious to get my hands on some more!
This is Zoya in EDYTA. This color is so unique too! You know what it reminds me of....
Haha :)
The color is hard to describe... like a dark tarnished gold/bronze but with a hint of green.
This is 2 coats.
Finally! My last Zoya.
Zoya LOLA. Isn't is sizzling :D?
This too, is A LOT brighter in real life. Oh, so good!
This color is very, very neon in real life. And true to neon polishes- it dries semi matte. This is 2 coats.

Last night whenI came home rather sluggish from babysitting, I found out I had received an unexpected package from China!

Tiny nail art beads! I wasn't expecting these for a week or two more but they came early! So exciting.
Theyre so very small!
