Nail polish took over my life! :)

2. What kind of blogs do you follow?
Some fashion blogs, nail blogs, and some personal.

Dior!

I'm like every other girl, I love my Forever 21!

5. What make-up products are essential for you?
Haha BLUSH! :) Rosy cheeks are a must for me!!

6. What's your favorite colour?
:D Pink.

7. What's your favorite perfume?
My brother has a DKNY apple shaped one for men that I always wear. It smells so good!

8. What's the film you liked the most?
Hard to pick! Probably Requiem for a Dream.

9. What countries would you like to go?
I'd like to go to Taiwan, back to Japan, and New Zealand!

Swatches!

Hi everyone! I changed my layout a little bit, what do you think?

Since I decided I need to swatch all of my (ever growing) stash, it's been a big nightmare to get organized over here! But I have a few swatches for you today!

This is Wet N Wild Spectacle. I picked this up after how much I loved Sparked (which is now my new header :)). But I was disappointed. This is much less opaque and here i used 4 coats.

You can see through much more in this picture. It applied really terribly on me. I think I might pour out some of the clear coat in in it so it becomes more opaque.

This is Essie Click It or Ticket. It is a frosty orange color that was opaque in 1 coat, but I applied 2. I think this color looked good with my skin tone but is too much of a grandma polish for me. This polish applied well and dried quickly. 

This polish I am not sure of the name. I know it is an Etude House part of the LUCIDarling collection. When I bought this color online the site said it was Ruby Purple. If that name is wrong, please correct me! I'd like to know! This is 4 coats. It looks very opaque in the bottle but it didn't apply that way. It is a purple glitter with holographic hexagrams and stars. I didn't even know it had stars it in until I applied it! 

Close up of the star glitter. This is definitely unlike other glitters in my collection and I'm glad I have it.

Now I have some swatches from the China Glaze Holiday Collection.

This is 2 coats of Naughty And Nice. It was a bit difficult to apply because the it tended to pool in certain areas.

It appears very very dark in the shade, almost black. But in the light you can see it's a dark burgundy. 

You can see how dark it is here. I love this color though. It is very vampy.

This is 3 coats of Mrs. Claus. As soon as I saw it on Katrina's blog I knew I had to pull it out and try it!

Isn't it pretty? It has a pinkish red base with glitter than shines silver and pink. I love this color.

I think this color looks nice on my skin tone as well.

This is 2 coats of Phat Santa. I think I had mentioned before that I never really wore red polishes, but this polish I love. This is a very pretty, very opaque red.

I love how shiny it is. it looks like car paint :).

This is 2 coats of Jolly Holly. This could have been a one coater if I had applied more carefully. 

This is a really pretty emerald shimmer. And I didn't have a similar color in my collection. 

This is 3 coats of Party Hearty over Jolly Holly and Phat Santa. I drove everywhere to find this polish. I had seen it early on Black Friday, but passed on it because I was already getting my Zoyas. Later in the day, I stopped at a couple beauty stores looking for it- they were all out! So the next day I went back to the first store and bought it. 

I was really disappointed! I couldn't get nearly as much glitter as I wanted on the nail :(.

I also took some time today to organize all my untried polish into one drawer.

Anddddd.....

I have so many to try! How about you ladies? Do you separate your untried polishes from your used? What is your system?

Magic NOTD

These are some nails I did a bit ago. I'm not super fond of them but I'll still share them with you.

I used my hot pink Snowman polish for the pink. For the gold I used Revlon Gold Get Em and dipped in Nail Art Glitter Lady Luck.

On my thumb I used Konad plate m60 for the flowers. On my index I used some studs from eBay with Ulta Snow White polish. On my middle I used balls from eBay. And on my pinky I used BM19 and Ulta Snow White for the polka dots.

And Here is a swatch of OPI DS Magic.

This is 3 coats. When I first tried this polish I hated it. I just thought it was this gross blue color and I took it off right away. Now, I quite like it. 

It reflects light like crazy and makes my nails look like space. Isn't it pretty? The only thing I don't like about it here, is how gritty it looks. 

You can see that after a day of wear the grittiness faded. This is also with two top coats and Konad White polish with plate m43.

And because my polish collection is growing so largely I've decided that I need to swatch all of the polishes I own. :) So expect to see a lot more!

Golden Flowers

I'm still bumming about yesterday's polish incident. :(

But here are some nails I did right before Vegas.

I used OPI DS Reserve and stamped with China Glaze Hi-Tek. 

I like these nails a lot. They were simple but pretty. 

I used bundle monster plates BM05 (thumb) and BM14 (index).

I used Konad plate M60 on my ring finger.

I tried out China Glaze He's Going In Circles.

This is 3 coats. When I first saw this in the bottle I was very disappointed. I thought it was going to be exploding with holoy goodness. In the bottle it looks like a sparkly mint green with a bit of holographicness to it. :) It's definitely better on the nail!

This is quickly becoming my favorite holo I own. 

See why I love it? It is the most holoy color I own! And it's unique in the fact that it's the only mint green holo I've seen. 

I think the holo particles in it make it look a bit blue too.

Black Friday Haul

I love Black Friday! Almost all my Christmas shopping is done. :) 

Here is what polishes I picked up:

The Wet N Wild Festive Flirt Nail Kit. It says $4.99 but on Thanksgiving night it was only $2.99!

Broken Hearted, Lost Love, Flirty Rose Creme, and No Chip Top Coat.

It also came with a cute nail file!

Bar-B, Royal Red, Misty Rose, and Shy.

I haven't tried these yet, so I can't comment on the quality. I like the quality of other Wet N Wilds but holiday kits tend to be a bit icky in quality. Like the Hard Candy Minis I bought a while ago. The quality of those was terrible! They smelt horrible, applied terribly, and apparently some of them stain nails really badly! I hope this holiday set is better.

These were an online order but they came on Black Friday so I thought I'd show them anyway.

This is 3 coats. I love this color! It is a very holographic purple. Color wise, it is darker than Milani Hi-Res. It also is a full nail holo not a glitter holo.

Look how awesome that holoness looks! I've been obsessed with Holographics lately. But you can see why :).

And since I can never leave my polish alone. I used Konad White Stamping Polish and bundler monster plate BM19.

SOMETHING TERRIBLE HAPPENED IN THE MAKING OF THIS POST!

While I was looking for my Milani purple holo to compare colors- I accidentally pulled my helmer drawer out too far. Polish went flinging everywhere around my room! One polish broke. It was a favorite of mine, Zoya Lola. :/ I gathered them all together and cleaned up the polish off my wood floor (magic eraser and hairspray is a lifesaver!). It seems one of the Wet N Wild Holiday ones is missing too, Misty Rose. 

My room is clean right now, but I do have a few things to put away that it could be hiding under. I hope I find it I really wanted to swatch it. :(

Late Night Moods

It is way too late for me to be up right now! But I couldn't sleep and I'm getting up at 3:30 am to get on those black Friday deals!

:) Some people hate it- but Black Friday is always fun for me. Yeah, it's kinda crazy and the lines are insane, but almost every Christmas I am done shopping on Black Friday. So that one day of annoyance is worth really enjoying your December without having to go to the mall again haha. 

Anyway, I thought I'd show you the Toma mood changing polishes I bought a a bit ago. I have no idea where anyone can buy them (Sorry!) but I know that I found them in the back of a nail supply store.

This is Copper Green to Cinnamon. This is a very odd color. It's a bit duochromey. In the bottle it changes from a blue green to brown, but it doesn't translate too much onto the nail. This is 4 coats.

After hot water, it turned a light brown color. I like this color because most mood polishes change from one obnoxiously bright color to another bright color. This feels like the grown up cousin to other mood polishes haha.

This is Moodmania Manic Attack. I definitely chose this color because of the name :). It's bright orange in the bottle but on the nail it was a toned down peachy orange. This was the thickest of my polishes. This is 2 coats.

After hot water the polish turns a little orange color. Almost yellow. ICK!! I did not like this polish at all.

This is Avocado Glitter to Silver Glitter. This is 4 coats. You can see this is very sheer. It has a very cool green base with silver glitter.

After hot water the green turned silver. This is much too sheer on it's own, but I feel like this polish would really cool with a base color.

This is Illusion Brown to Sheer Gold. This is 4 coats. It is a very pretty dirty copper shimmer. I just don't think it went with my skin tone well.

After hot water it turned GOLD. This one was the best one to watch change :).

This is Midnight Black to Diamond Sparkles.  This is 4 coats and it is my favorite of these polishes. I really have been wanting a mood changing polish that was black. This isn't black but it is a charcoal grey with silver glitter! :) Close enough?

After hot water it turned silver. Which is really much prettier in real life. :)

All in all, these polishes are really cool polishes that I'm glad I found. They feel like more mature Claire's mood polishes. However, there just was anything exciting or drastic about the changes. The colors themselves were all very interesting- but they didn't change much at all.
