Justin Bieber and My Valentine's Day Nail Art

I don't want to confuse you guys. I am not a Justin Bieber fan. Although sometimes when his songs come on in the car I freeze and think,"Do I want to listen to this?" It's only a momentary lapse in judgement I assure you. So, when I saw his collection for the first time at Meijer's I rolled my eyes. Really? Of all things- a boy pop-star coming out with a nail polish collection to pimp out to his pre-teen female fans?
And then I saw One Less Lonely Glitter.
In case you didn't know this little fact about me as well- I hate the Nicole By OPI bottles. I also hate the price tag. I was also holding Studio M Tru Passion which looks pretty much dupey for One Less Lonely Glitter.
Everything about this situation was...wrong.
But I bought One Less Lonely Glitter anyway. :)
Studio M Tru Passion and Nicole by OPI One Less Lonely Glitter.

In the store lighting and in the bottle they look pretty much like dupes.

This is 2 coats of Studio M Tru Passion.

Tru Passion is a light purple glitter polish. It might be a core line polish with a new name (Studio M likes to do that) but the Valentine's day line was on sale at my Meijer's so I bought this one for  $1.99.

I love this polish. It's so opaque and it's the perfect shade of purple. :)

I think the formula on this was the same as most Studio M polishes- thick.

This is 3 coats of Nicole By OPI One Less Lonely Glitter.

As soon as it was on my nails, I saw that One Less Lonely Glitter has tiny little hexagon glitter in it. It has the same glitter base as Tru Passion. I'm not sure how much these retail for. I know I paid $6.99 at Meijer's.

You can see that the glitter hexagons give the polish more of a textured look and seem to reflex the light less. I'm sure it would be more shiny with top coat but I compared without.

Woops you can't see the glitter hexs!

I compared, of course!
Tru Passion, One Less Lonely Glitter, Tru Passion, One Less Lonely Glitter.
They look pretty dupey here.

Here you can see how OLLG is made of those little bitty glitter hexagons.
I like them both personally, but Studio M is a pretty good dupe for the Nicole by OPI. It's also a bit cheaper.

Now, A LOT of my readers have asked that I do nail art again. I love doing nail art, guys! :) I only wish I had more time for it! If there is any suggestions for designs leave a comment or we can chat it up on my twitter.
Lately, with work, I haven't been able to do much nail art. I can sometimes get away with wearing just plain polish (I usually rock nude) but I can't get away with crazy nail art. I also wouldn't want to give someone a facial with stuff glued to my nails haha.

But I did have some ideas for V-day manis. I'm not really into Valentine's day but you know..
This is a simple mani I did using Nfu Oh 63.

It's a simple mani but I loved the way it came out.

I used Nfu Oh 63 as a base. I then used Color Club Magic Attraction on my ring finger. I stamped it with Wet N Wild Black Creme and plate BM20.

Here's a close up of my ring finger. You can't see much of Nfu Oh 63 in there but I love the way the glitter shines through.

I also did an "Anti-V-day" mani.

I used Wet N Wild Black Rose for the base, except on my ring finger which I used China Glaze Hey Sailor. I used plate BM03 on my index finger and pinky with Konad Special Nail Polish in White.
I free handed the broken heart with Wet N Wild Black Creme. I used red rhinestones on my middle finger.

And I couldn't do this mani without something bleeding dripping. I used Sally Hansen Cardinal over Wet N Wild Black Rose.

I did a sweet mani too. :)

I used Studio M Vintage Couture. I don't think I've used this polish since the beginning of this blog. Boy, this polish was streaky!

I wanted my index finger to look like candy. I used plate BM17 with Sally Hansen Cardinal and Konad White. I used plate BM19 with Konad White for my middle finger. I used Sally Hansen Fairy Dust Pink on my ring finger. I used plate BM19 with Konad white for a full nail design on my pink. It's kind of hard to see. I then stamped with plate BM14 and Sally Hansen Cardinal over it.

Oops! Forgot the L! I used plate BM09 and BM03 with Sally Hansen Cardinal.

I hope you enjoyed my nail art!
