NYC Polishes

I am exhausted! My friends and I went out last night to celebrate my 21st birthday and it was a crazy good time. :) But I did end up breaking both my thumb nails in the right corner somehow. Very strange.
Today I want to show you the NYC polishes I own. Before my polish loving days, I owned one NYC polish. It was a black creme. I remember my brother used to paint one of his fingers with it like Carson Daily but anyways...
French White Tip, Big Money Frost, Fuchsia Shock Creme, Purple Pizzazz Frost, and Black Lace Creme.

This is 5 coats of French White Tip.

French White Tip was obviously intended for French manicures. It is a white creme that took far too many coats to be opaque.

This polish was super streaky and I needed top coat to even it out.

I do remember this polish dried fairly quickly. Sigh, I am still continuing my search for the perfect white creme.

This is 2 coats of Big Money Frost.

Big Money frost is a grassy green frost. Lately I've been strangely into frosts but I'm not sure I like this polish. It's very... green.

Maybe I'm just feeling sick right now, but ew- this polish is too green.

Meh.

This is 3 coats of Fuchsia Shock Creme. WHOA, I swear I'm not this orange. :X

Fuchsia Shock Creme is a super streaky hot pink creme that needed top coat. I think it's very bright in real life, so my camera has a tendency to make me into an oompa loompa.

There, this looks like a normal skin tone. I was not a fan of this polish. The color itself was not that unique and the quality was just not there.

This is 3 coats of Purple Pizzazz Frost.

Purple Pizzazz Frost is probably the most interesting of these colors. It's a purple polish with blue shimmer.

I think this polish is pretty, but I didn't feel the quality was there.

The blue shimmer is just divine.

This is 2 coats of Black Lace Creme.

Black Lace Creme is a green based black polish. I also noticed it had more of a jelly-creme finish.

I love how shiny it is.

It looks like leather.

All in all, I am just not sold on this brand. I just didn't feel like there was a whole lot of quality in these polishes. I think, if they weren't a dollar each, I would not have bought them. A lot of their polishes are streaky and thin or too goopy and still streaky. I would much rather spend that dollar on a Wet N Wild polish.
Man, I've had so many disappointing polishes lately!

  2. I'm not a big fan of NYC either. It's usually quite streaky and it doesn't last so long. However, they are cheap and I pick up a bottle

  5. i have both the fuchsia and the purple, and hands down theyre really pretty colors for their price but after a year and a half, the purple dried up and clumped and its colors started to separate, it was gross (in the bottle)

  6. I don't know if you're still looking for a good white creme, but I just got myself Lavender Breeze from the Floraliste LE by Catrice. Haven't tried it yet, but apparently it's more white than lavender and only needs two coats.
Thought I'd share, maybe this is something you'd like. :)
