Morning everyone! I'm blogging from bed because I am still exhausted from last night. I hope everyone enjoyed their Monday night. :)
About a month ago, The lovely Holiday from Silence is Loud sent me a little package. I know, I've totally been a bad lady to just now be getting around to it.
And I swear, when I get my head on straight I will return the favor. :)
AHHH. JOE FRESH POLISHES! :) I've been wanting to get my hands on these for a while. I was so excited when I saw this! She also sent me a lovely CND lotion that smells heavenly.
Dupioni, Midas, and Imperial.
This is 4 coats of Dupioni.
Dupioni is a pearly white frost. I thought it would quickly be opaque but it took a while to get there.
I want to try this layered over a pink.
Ahhh no clean up!
This is 3 coats of Midas.
Midas is a green-bronze shimmer polish. The color is very unique.
It reminds me of one of the polishes from the China Glaze Holiday collection, Peace On Earth. But that polish was more green.
Look at all the shimmer. :)
This is 2 coats of Imperial.
Imperial is a deep purple shimmer. I am drooling just looking at this. Nothing is better than a purple polish in my book. And this one is perfect!
It's like a burnt grape color. YUM.
I really do love these polishes. Now I want more Joe Fresh's! The names of these seem rather strange, none the less.
I also wanted to do a comparison between Zoya Charla and her many dupes.
Zoya Charla, Essence Choose Me!, Wet N Wild Teal Of Fortune, and Jesse's Girl Glee.
This is 3 coats of Zoya Charla by herself.
I love the Zoya brush; I didn't have any clean up to do.
I then used Essence Choose Me on my index and ring finger. I used 3 coats. Choose Me seems slightly lighter and greener.
Choose Me, Charla, Choose Me, Charla.
They're close enough to not need both but I wouldn't exactly call them dupes. Also, the brush on Choose Me was longer and harder to work with.
I used 3 coats of Wet N Wild Teal Of Fortune on my index and ring finger.
These to me, seemed like dupes. I couldn't tell the difference once they were on. The brush on Teal Of Fortune was a lot wider and messy.
This is 3 coats of Jesse's Girl Glee on my index and ring finger.
This one was also a dupe to me. The brush on Glee is shorter and little bit easier to work.
In my mind, it doesn't matter which polish you have- they were all pretty much the same. I perfect Zoya Charla to work with because the brush is precise. I think the cheapest of these is the Wet N Wild Teal Of Fortune. I bought mine for 99 cents but it retails for 1.99. The brush on that one is crappier, but it's probably the best deal.
:) I hope that helped someone!
Also, I know my posts are usually quite large and contain a lot of pictures and polishes. I like showing a lot of stuff at once but would you guys prefer if I broke these down to smaller posts?
Let me know!
