Maybelline And Eyeko Swatches

I'm so glad it's finally Sunday! I'm still pretty tired after a late night last night. Me and a couple friends went to a local billiards bar where there was a group celebrating someone's 50th birthday and also a bachelorette party. Needless to say, the dance floor got interesting. I saw an older gentleman get pretty funky. I kept begging the DJ to play something that wasn't from the 80's.
Anyway, I want to show you guys some swatches of Maybelline and Eyeko polishes. I bought these Maybellines at the Dollar Tree so I'm pretty sure they're discontinued.
Plum Potion and Blue Glaze.

This is 1 coat of Plum Potion.
Photobucket
Plum Potion is a burgundy brown polish with a slight shimmer.

I only needed one coat of this polish because it was so opaque. I hate the Maybelline brush on these polishes. It's so floppy.

The shimmer was pretty hard to show.

This is 2 coats of Blue Glaze over Wet N Wild Black Creme.

Blue Glaze is a blue duochrome polish that shines purple, silver, pink and blue. I swear this looked less brush stroke ridden in real life.

The duochrome effect was hard to capture but ended up looking really awesome.

Next time I will try this over a blue.

Next I want to show you guys some Eyeko polishes.
Posh Polish and Military Polish.
Eyeko has the best packaging.

This is 1 coat of Posh Polish.

Posh Polish is a beige creme polish.

I think my pictures look a bit more brown that it really is. It leans a little grey in real life.

This polish also had a good shine to it.

This is 2 coats of Military Polish.

Military Polish is an olive green creme.

This shows the polish a bit darker than it actually is.

This polish also had a good shine to it and was pretty opaque.

I'm also not a fan of the Eyeko brush. I feel like it holds too much polish and makes application a bit messy.

These pictures were taking a little over a month ago and I've just now remembered to post them. Can you tell my nail beds have grown?

This is what I wore yesterday:
OPI DS Extravagance.

Maybe it's only obvious to me. :P

  2. Awesome swatches!

Oh DS Extravagance...I miss you. The first and only time I used it was for nYE and I covered it with stamping and glitter lines etc. Next time I'm leaving well enough alone! Love how it looks on you!

  6. Blue Glaze looks kind of like the spring one, Blue Brilliance. I love Military Polish, I really want a color like that or RBL No More War! Extravagance is dazzling too.
