6/4/11 NOTDs

This is 2 coats of China Glaze Shower Together.

Shower Together is a dark teal blue creme polish.

I'm not getting this "shower together" reference. Maybe the polish namers over at China Glaze were just being pervy that day.

I loved this polish more than I thought I would. It's very pretty.

Lately I've been into glitter like it's going out of style so I added some China Glaze Atlantis.

I kept showing everyone my nails in the sun. :)

This is 2 coats of Essence Can't Cheat On Me.

Can't Cheat On Me is a silver polish with a slight holographic effect.

This polish was gifted to me, but I believe you can pick it up at Ulta.

These pictures were taken inside but she was a beauty out in the sun.

This is my newest Deborah Lippmann polish- Ruby Red Slippers.

Ruby Red Slippers is a polish with a blackened jelly base with large red hexagon glitter and smaller, round glitter.

At the time, I wasn't really impressed with this polish. I think I was a bit cranky because looking at these pictures now makes me want to wear it again.

This polish was a bit gritty so I do recommend a layer of Gelous before your top coat.

Do you guys remember this franken? I wore it again Recently.

This is 3 coats of Fairy Vomit.

I'm on a mission to reswatch some of my frankens and I swear once school is done I will get back to making some!

  1. I love all the polishes mentioned. My favorite has to be the Atlantis one. I can only imagine that baby in the sun.

How did you make your franken polishes? They are beautiful.

By the way, I need to start swatching my colors too lol.

  2. I love your China Glaze combo with Shower Together (pervy! lmao) and Atlantis. Super pretty! I have a strange relationship with Deborah Lippmann glitters. I don't love them when I put them on, but- like you- love them in my pics. Ruby Red Slippers does look fab on you.

  4. Shower Together is a reference to saving water :) If two people shower at the same time, they only use half the amount of water! Also, I think it was a little pervy lol LOVE LOVE LOVE it with Atlantis! I'm going to have to wear that this week :)

  5. Like Katie said it's a reference to saving water. It is a part of the E-collection which was all about being eco-friendly with names like Hybrid and Recycle.

  8. I've been following your page for awhile and love it! I'm really getting into nail polish again, I love doing fun/creative manis, and I'm working on building up my polish collection. What is your favorite brand? I love OPI and Essie...I've found that they have a great color selection and that they last a long time without chipping. China Glaze, however, blows me away with their colors! Would you say China Glaze's quality is up there with the others? I'd love to hear your opinion :)

    Thank you! <3

  9. Mini Diva- Take a look at my Franken FAQ. It's linked in my side bar. :)

Katie- Ah, I had read that somewhere! Thank you.

Rachel- My favorite brand is CND. Their effects are very cool and their cremes apply like butter. They also wear incredibly well on me. But, In my humble opinion, I think most wear has to do with how you treat your hands and the basecoat/topcoat combo you have. :)
I would say China Glaze has some great polishes. Their newer collections had some fun colors that I LOVE.

    Thanks everyone.
