CND Dot Mani

This is a based on a manicure I saw on a Nail Tech website. (here) I want to get all other colors they use and try it again. I like the way mine turned out for a first try.

Pretty fun, huh?

I got a lot of compliments on this. :)

I used Essie Smokin' Hot as the base, and Wet N Wild Black Creme with CND Sapphire Sparkle for the dots. 

Accessorize Polishes

Today is just a quick post.

These are Accessorize polishes I got in my swap with Sara.

Pink Spice and Aztec.

This is 3 coats of Pink Spice.

Pink Spice is a pink duochrome that shines gold and red.

I really liked this polish a lot. It reminds me of MAC Bad Fairy.

It has that weird particle texture that the Orly Cosmic Collection had.

This is 3 coats of Aztec.

Aztec is a green duochrome polish that shines purple and gold.

I do love this polish but I can't get the texture JUST right.

See how there is more green at the tip? The texture of this polish always got thinner at the tips.

A Month Of Blue Manicures

This month was Autism Awareness month and a lot of bloggers donned blue nails for the cause. I joined in on this, as well. :) Nothing is more fabulous than a blue mani, in my mind. You can read a bit more about the cause here. 

This is 2 coats of Model's Own True Blue.

Model's Own is a vibrant medium blue creme. It was very pigmented.

I got this in my swap with Sara. I would love more of these Model's Own polishes, if they're like this one. I love the bottle too!

YUM.

And of course I couldn't leave it alone..

I stamped it with White Konad polish and MASH plate m78.

I loved the way this came out.

OPI DS Magic.

Stamped with White Konad polish and MASH plate M63.

I think once I started the white on blue manicures- I couldn't stop.

This is 2 coats of China Glaze Frostbite.

Frostbite is a vibrant blue shimmer polish. I can't believe I never bought this polish before. It's really a must.

This one also has a weird smell. It smells like a herbal substance that a hippie or two have been know to smoke. 

If you can get over the smell (or if you like that sort of thing) I recommend this one being part of your stash.

Did you think it was going to go unstamped? I used Konad White polish and MASH plate M27.

This mani was really fun and I got a lot of people asking what was stamped on my nails.

I also tried my nails at a Ruffian manicure. I used CND Urban Oasis and China Glaze Hi-Tek. I then layered Essie Matte about you on top of Urban Oasis.

I used Nfu Oh 65 and stamped it with China Glaze Techno Teal and Bundle Monster plate BM20.

If you've been following my blog for a while, you might remember I've done this exact mani before.

This is 3 coats of Butter London Lady Muck.

Lady Muck is a light blue polish with silver shimmer.

This is my first Butter London polish and I feel addicted already.

This polish is really stunning.

Pa Q3

I have had this mani saved on my computer for a while. I absolutely love the polish but it's so very hard to capture!

This is 3 coats of Pa Q3. 

Q3 is so gorgeous in real life and my pictures really wash out some of the shimmer. Q3 is a taupe polish with purple undertones and a ton of purple and gold shimmer.

I wish my pictures would show some of the shimmer.

So of course I got bored and layered China Glaze White Cap and stamped with Bundle Monster plate BM20 with Konad White polish.

I thought this looked really cool but it kind of looks like something...

What do you guys think of my manicures?

Revlon Top Speed Polishes

I'm not a big fan of Revlon polishes. They tend to take ages to dry on me and I feel they are a bit pricey for a drugstore brand. However, recently I had a coupon for a dollar off Top Speed polishes AND RiteAid was giving a dollar off on top of that- so I couldn't resist the deal.

Electric and Ocean.

This is 3 coats of Electric.

Electric is a bright yellow polish with shimmer. It was a bit streaky and required 3 coats before it became even.

Look familiar? It's a near dupe for Chanel Mimosa. I've compared them and I'll show you the comparison soon!

Yellows are notoriously hard to work with, so watch out!

This is 2 coats of Ocean.

Ocean is teal green shimmer polish that is simply lovely.

It is a bit brush strokey but I think I can look past that flaw and see how wonderful it is.

This color doesn't say 'ocean' to me, though.

I'm not a big fan of Revlons, but I will say the colors and formulas in the Top Speed line haven't disappointed me yet.

Jordana Polishes

I stopped in Kmart on a whim one night looking for E.L.F. makeup. I did end up finding some makeup that I took home with me but I also noticed a display of Jordana polishes. I swear I've never noticed the display before so I'm thinking it's new. I've only seen Jordana polishes on Nikki's Blog. They had some bright looking polishes and a silver glitter that instantly grabbed my heart.

Mellow Yellow, Boy Oh Boy, and Silver Jewel.

This is 4 coats of Mellow Yellow.

Mellow Yellow is a bright yellow jelly polish. I think this is a much better choice that Deborah Lippmann's Brick Road.

Yes, it was 4 coats and is still a bit sheer, but such is a life of a jelly polish.

I think the end results of this polish is really fabulous.

This is 2 coats of Boy Oh Boy. Ugh, the name of this polish makes me puke in my mouth a little.

BOB (did you really think I was going to type it again?) is a greenish teal creme that is a tad more green in real life. 

This could have been a careful one coater.

I'm so glad I bought this horribly named polish. It's gorgeous and looks fabulous against my skin tone.

This is 3 coats of Silver Jewel over BOB.

Silver Jewel is an opaque silver hexagon glitter polish in a clear jelly base. 

I bought this because I never got my hands on the Milani silver glitter that was an online exclusive. I can honestly say this has stomped out the lemming.

This mani was so blingtastic in real life.

I can say that I am very impressed with my new Jordana polishes. They were cheap ($1.99 each) and very gorgeous polishes.
