With the rise of some really awesome indie polish brands- there's also been a rise of a horrible, horrible polish problem- sinking glitter.
My last batch of Nerd Lacquers (before the maker disappeared :( ) had this very problem.
See how all the lovely, fun glitter has sunk to the bottom of the bottle?
I know there was a bad batch of suspension base going around and I wonder if that's what happened with this polish. Regardless, it didn't swatch the same as other swatches I've seen of it.
That is where Nail Pattern Boldness's Fix A Flat comes in.
This has two purposes: it can fix sinking glitter and it can be used over glitter polish.
I've been using Gelous over my "hungry" glitters that like to suck up all my topcoat and leave that gritty feeling. This is a bit thicker than Gelous and it actually works really well on top of glitters.
So to fix sinking glitter polish, I took a dropper I had laying around and used it to take off the top layer of the polish.
I probably should have taken just a little more out, but it was my first time trying this.
This was after a bit of shaking and you can see it has already moved some of the glitter around.
I've checked on this bottle for about a month now, and it keeps it a lot more suspended than before!
Here is another bottle that had some sinking glitter.
And here it is after being "fixed". This stuff is gold.
Here is the polish before adding Glitter Food.
And here it is after.
The glitter has spread evenly throughout the polish.
What do you guys think?
