Nfu Oh 68 & Lynnderella Love Potion No. 99

This is 2 coats of Nfu Oh 68.

68 is a dark purple foil polish but it has a slight duochromey effect to it. It shines between a reddish purple and a more violet color.

I added 1 coat of Lynnderella Love Potion No. 99 and loved the effect.

Is there anything that is better than a good glitter?

CQ Deep Blue Sea & The Posh Polish's Franken

This is 2 coats of CQ Deep Blue Sea.

Deep Blue Sea is a very dark blue shimmer polish.

This CQ polish can be found at RiteAid (my favorite drugstore) or on their website.

*Polish sent to me for review*

I decided to layer Jamie's franken on top. :)

This is 1 coat of her franken over CQ Deep Blue Sea.

Her franken is an intense silvery grey hex glitter with a holographic effect. This is positively nailgasmic in real life.

You can also check out Jamie's lovely swatches here. :)

City Color Flutter Polishes

I tend to shy away from City Color polishes. Last time I bought some they were so sheer and thin, it was like trying to paint my nails with watered down water. But, when I saw these rose shaped (Anna Sui-esque) bottles I knew I had to try a few. And surprisingly, they were not bad.

This is 2 coats of Beige.

Beige is a pinky nude shimmer polish.

This is 3 coats of Gray.

Gray is a a grey polish with gold shimmer.

This is 2 coats of Turquoise.

Turquoise is a teal blue with green shimmer.

This is 2 coats of Red.

Red is a red polish with pink shimmer.

What do you guys think of these polishes? I have to say the formula was pretty good and I am loving the colors.

September 2012 Empties

I haven't been buying nearly as much beauty products like I normally do. So I've been working through even more products lately. I actually feel good about this. Rediscovering my stash has been surprisingly fun.

Blue Cross Cuticle Remover
I've been working through this big bottle for a little over a year now. I use this everyday at work and it has lasted me so long! This stuff is amazing. I put this on and it softens the cuticle so well. It's not my end all be all of cuticle removers but it does an amazing job and I'll already working my way into my 2nd bottle.

Shikioriori Apple Body Soap
I love the way Japanese apple scented products smell. It's a tarter, green appley scent that I am addicted to. I wasn't completely impressed with the quality of this but the smell was wonderful. I don't think I will be repurchasing just because I'd rather find something I love.

Paul Mitchell Extra-Body Daily Rinse
I really thought I loved this shampoo until I switched to Aquage Color Protecting Shampoo. Now this doesn't seem so great...

Dermalogica Active Moist
I love this moisturizer. It is great for nighttime. It feels heavy enough to moisturize my skin but it also helps with breakouts which I love. I've switched to another moisturizer I had and I am going right back to Active Moist.

Dermalogica Clearing Mattifier & Overnight Clearing Gel
I have been using the Mattifier as a primer under my makeup for days when I am breaking out. It has salicylic acid to help control my breakouts. I'm currently not repurchasing because I'm trying to see how my Murad primer holds up instead.
The overnight clearing gel has changed my skin. Seriously. Now that I have been without it for a couple weeks I am dying. My skin is just not the same at all. This 1.7 oz bottle lasted me a little over a year and it spoiled me rotten. I tried use a DHC product that seemed similar and it isn't doing what OCG did for me. I am repurchasing ASAP.

Alchemic Muse Body Whip in Kama Sutra
I adore this body whip. It's the perfect consistency and texture. It absorbs quickly and smells amazing. I will be buying more from her as soon as I start burning through my stash.

Alchemic Muse Foaming Body Scrub in Waikiki
First of all, this scrub smells amazing. It has a coconuty, island lime scent that is just to die for. Secondly, it is a GREAT scrub. A+ for this one.

Can you believe it's October already? Geesh.
