SpaRitual Meditate Collection & Review

Last month SpaRitual (one of my favorite brands) released their Mediate collection and of course, I went out and bought all of them.

This is 3 coats of Peace & Harmony.

Peace & Harmony is a shimmery white matte polish. It's pretty but the formula was a typical streaky matte that you can't overwork or it'll be patchy. At 3 coats it was *almost* even.

I have to say that adding topcoat helped even things out a lot.

This is 3 coats of Transcend.

Transcend is an off white (almost a hint of yellow or tan) shimmery polish with gold shimmer. Ugh. This polish would be stunning if the formula wasn't poopy. It's streaky and sheer. At 3 coats, again, *almost* even. It dried to a satiny, matte finish.

Again, topcoat helped even it out.

This is 3 coats of Quietness.

Quietness is a nude creme polish. It's such a good nude but it was sheer and streaky.

This is 3 coats of Calm & Clear.

Calm & Clear is a sheer pink creme polish. It's such a pretty color but it was like polishing my nails with tinted water that didn't self level.

This is 3 coats of Energy.

Energy is a dusty (dare I even say.. milky?) blue creme polish. It was more sheer but more self leveling than the other polishes in this collection.

This is 3 coats of Introspective.

Introspective is a dusty jade creme polish with slight shimmer. Holy crap this color is gorgeous but why, oh why, does the formula have to be streaky and sheer as heck?

My final thoughts: The colors in this collection are stunning but the formulas are horrible. Sheer, not leveling, and streaky to all heck. SpaRitual is one of my favorite brands for a reason. The bottles are beautiful, 9 times out of 10 the formula is like butter, and the colors are to die for. I don't know what happened here with the formula but it is a total bust. These swatches put my polishing techniques to the test. I did everything I could to make them look presentable and a polish shouldn't be that way. Usually a collection has 1 or 2 bad seeds but for EVERY formula to suck? It's such a disappointment. Honestly, I will probably wear a couple of these again just because I love the colors but probably not often.

Brand: SpaRitual
Availability: I bought these at a local beauty supply, also available through online retailers, SpaRitual salons, and through Sephora's nail bar but I'm not sure if they have this collection in.
Price: Retails for $10 each
