Deborah Lippmann Do Ya Think I'm Sexy Jelly Sandwich

This is 1 coat of Deborah Lippmann Do Ya Think I'm Sexy? over a red jelly.

While the polish in the bottle looks gorgeous, the effect on the nail is much too chunky for me. Makes it look super sloppy. What's a girl supposed to do?

So I added another coat of my red jelly and it turned into perfection! Just enough reflection through the sheer polish.

It still looks a little chunky here but I promise it looked SO much better in person.

Brand: Deborah Lippmann
Availability: I bought this one from HSN or Nordstrom's I believe.
Price: $18

Jessica Pajama Party and Maybelline Lavender Sparks

This is 2 coats of Jessica Pajama Party.

Pajama Party is a dark blue based purple shimmer.

Brand: Jessica
Availability: I bought this in a set at TJ Maxx. Apparently it's from the 2010 Paint The Town Collection. I'm sure they still float around on eBay or Amazon.
Price: This is horrible, but I can't remember. I think that the set came with 3-4 polishes and was about $8.

I then added 1 coat of Maybelline Lavender Sparks.

Lavender Sparks is a light purple glitter polish that is a bit sheer and has holographic glitter hexs.

Brand: Maybelline
Availability: Most drugstores and retailers that carry Maybelline
Price: $2.99

Galaxy Nails

It's been a while since I've done a Galaxy manicure. I believe the last time I did one was when I first started my blog, actually. I wanted to do something fun and exciting for New Year's Day so this is what popped into my mind.
So I started with 2 coats of Zoya Dovima.

Dovima is my favorite matte black. It's not so matte since it dries to this satiny finish and has such good shimmer to it. Lovely.

This is under my desk lamp.

And boom. This is what it looks like after.

I instantly regretted adding the white dots but I loved the effect underneath. I used Nails By Asami's tutorial for this. It also looks like her blog is now down. Which makes me incredibly sad, she had such beautiful talent.

And here is the assortment of polishes I used to get this look.
CND Violet Shimmer, Chemistry 518, Ozotic Pro 515, Daboo Glitter, and Zoya Dovima.

Urban Outfitter's Seadust

This is 2 coats of Urban Outfitter's Seadust.

Seadust is a teal green glitter polish with larger blue hex glitter. This is a near dupe to Deborah Lippmann's Mermaid's Dreams. But Mermaid's Dreams seems to have a bit more blue glitter and better coverage.

Brand: Urban Outfitter's
Availability: I bought this in my local store but it can also be bought online
Price: 2 for $8 or $5 each

Lynnderella Attitude Adjust-mint & Essie Absolutely Shore

This is 1 coat of Lynnderella Attitude Adjust-mint over Essie Absolutely Shore.

Attitude Adjust-mint is a sheer minty green polish with iridescent glitter. I have to say this is SO much prettier in person. It's much more complex but soft and girly. *Le sigh*

Brand: Lynnderella
Availability: Through her eBay Store is basically the only way to get these polishes now
Price: $22.50

China Glaze Creative Fantasy & American Apparel Violet Panache

This is 4 coats of China Glaze Creative Fantasy.

Creative Fantasy is a purple jelly-creme. In my mind, It's not QUITE a jelly because it didn't have that beautiful squishy feel to me. Almost- but not quite jelly enough, at least in my mind, to be a full jelly. I wish it would have looked this way in 2 coats.

Brand: China Glaze
Availability: I bought this one at Sally's, but also at Ulta, Salon's, Beauty Supplies and online retailers
Price: Retail $6.59

I then added 1 coat of American Apparel Violet Panache.

Violet Panache is a sheer purple and blue glass flecked polish. I have to say it is absolutely stunning over Creative Fantasy. I held off trying it for a long time since it looked opaque in the bottle but SO sheer on the nail.

Brand: American Apparel
Availability: I bought this at my local store but it is also available on their website
Price: $6 each or 3 for $15
